One of our clients, Cristian M. Brown, was indicted by a Seneca County
grand jury on a
murder charge. Attorney Adam Stone has been working with Mr. Brown since the
case was in Seneca County juvenile court. At the time of the allegations,
Mr. Brown was 17 years of age. Now, he is 18 years of age and is facing
adult court, which carries much heavier consequences.
Magistrate Ken Clason, who oversaw the case, set Mr. Brown’s bond
at $1 million, with a no 10% allowance. However, Attorney Stone disagreed
with the high bond amount. Attorney Stone asserts that Brown has strong
family ties in Pittsburgh and equally strong family support, making it
unlikely Brown will be a flight risk.
The case began after Brown was charged with the stabbing of D’Andre
L. Gehring, an 18-year-old man from Fostoria. Gehring was found bleeding
from injuries sustained in the parking lot of Fostoria Townhouses in January.
Officers arrived after receiving a report of a fight with a person who
had been stabbed, Gehrig. Gehrig was taken by Fostoria Fire Division to
the ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital, where he later died of his injuries.
Another person was charged in connection with the stabbing, Arlando C.
Crowe Jr., an 18-year-old man. He pleaded guilty in May to a charge of
obstructing justice and was sentenced to 30 months in prison by a Seneca
County Common Pleas Court judge, Steve Shuff.
Attorney Stone will continue to represent Brown in his upcoming court appearances.
