Bucyrus criminal defense lawyer Adam Stone has been appointed to represent
a 14-year-old charged in connection with the tragic passing of another
young person. The incident happened this Sunday in what police are referring
to as an isolated incident. They were called to the scene late Sunday
evening. The decedent was taken to an area hospital where he eventually
died of his injuries.
The decedent’s sister was sleeping when she was roused by a loud
noise she described as a “firecracker” outside her house.
While the response to the accident was immediate, the decedent died on
the way to the hospital.
Police arrested our client, and he is charged with murder, tampering with
evidence, obstructing official business, and burglary. The state of Ohio
is trying to bind our 14-year-old to be tried as an adult under the charge
of murder. Our aggressive and experienced legal team is arguing to close
the proceedings in juvenile court, due to his young age. We are also attempting
to gag the parties from discussing the case anymore, and we also have
the probable cause hearing for the murder allegations.
The case is still being investigated by Sandusky County officials.
