Man Accused of Domestic Violence During Heated Child Custody Conflict,
Attorney Stone Convinces Prosecutor to Dismiss Criminal Case
Recently, a Marion County man was accused of domestic violence while in
the middle of a contentious child custody battle with his child’s
mother. He was facing 180 days in jail, a $1,000 fine, and a lifetime
ban from owning firearms of any kind.
After taking on the case, Attorney Adam Stone and his investigator worked
together to look into the child’s mother’s background. They
found that the woman had a history of mental health issues and a number
of previous criminal convictions. By bringing her history of instability
and criminal activity to light, Stone and his team were able to create
enough doubt in the prosecutor’s mind that he dismissed the case
and dropped the domestic violence charges.
