The Mansfield News Journal has done a story about one of our clients and her fight to put her charges behind her. In December 2016, she was facing federal charges of wire fraud—a charge that comes with up to 20 years in prison and fines of up to $1 million. Thanks to the tireless work of our attorneys, she was sentenced to only 3 years of probation and a few thousand dollars in restitution payments.
The most important result of our work?
Our client was able to go home to her wife and children, and she was never once handcuffed for her charges.
Today, our client’s case continues in state court (as December’s case resolved her federal charge). Our team continues to fight on her behalf, working to get her the best possible outcome for her charges. These charges include separate counts that carry up to 3 years of prison time each. We are confident that we’ll be able to secure a good outcome for these charges as well, allowing our client to avoid jail time and spend every evening with her family.
It’s situations like this that highlight the very human rewards that come from hiring a criminal defense attorney. Eyer Stone, LTD always fights for the best possible outcome for our clients—but that doesn’t always mean acquittal (or even a not guilty plea). Often, it means working with the prosecutor to allow you to go home to your children, to keep living your life, and to put your criminal charges behind you as quickly as possible.
